Between the 8th and 23rd April, the PAL team embarked on its most ambitious international event in the organisation’s history. With Executive Director, Ahmad, accompanied by international representatives, travelling to Poland, Switzerland, Italy and France to take part in 13 public events in twelve cities, the tour was a resounding success.
Said Ahmad: “I feel incredibly proud and thankful to see the support that our small organisation has attracted in Europe and would like to thank everyone who attended, hosted us, helped to organise the trip and joined in the discussion about our work. Our work extends beyond just helping animals, with the fight for human rights and the wider Palestinian struggle being integral to our efforts. We sincerely believe that social justice, whether for people or animals, is one fight. I was delighted to see so many people who came to see us embracing this message and that our presentations were attended by both animal and human rights activists coming together for a joint cause. I sincerely believe that this integrated approach is the only way that we will see long-term progress”.
The events were attended by in excess of 600 people over the course of the trip, which also served as a vital fundraising opportunity for PAL.
The PAL team would like to thank everyone who was involved in all stages of the trip. We hope now to continue to build upon our international outreach work to reach out to more people around the world and nurture the new friendships and connections we made in the last month.
