PAL’s vision is a future where:
Achieving our vision requires a multi-dimensional approach in which PAL works closely with all levels of governmental institutions while at the same time working to inspire and empower Palestinian citizens and engaging directly on the ground. PAL collaborates and joins forces with all levels of society working on initiatives that advance our vision.
What We Do
Direct and grassroots lobbying to influence animal-related legislation

Advocating for and educate society about animal welfare issues
LOBBYING
Regulate the work of pet shops and pet farms
Develop and activate animal protection laws
Incorporate animal welfare principles in school curriculums
Facilitate the government's adoption of humane stray animal population control measures
Establish a network of organizations working for or interested in animal protection
ADVOCACY
Inspire compassion and a sense of responsibility towards stray animals
Change attitudes towards Palestinian ‘Baladi’ dogs
Empower youth ambassadors to drive positive change in society
Encourage responsible pet ownership and pet adoption
Raise awareness about the cruelty of the food system
Animals We Help
Companion Animals
- End the stray animal problem by promoting and lobbying for sustainable animal population control measures.
- Provide resources and spreading awareness to encourage responsible pet ownership.
- Change the negative attitudes regarding the national Palestinian dog breed through the ambassador dog program.
- Rescue and adoption programs (ended).
Working Animals
- Provide resources to communities to enable responsible ownership and care.
- Prompt the ministry of agriculture to increase animal welfare regulations for working animals.
- Lobby ministry of education to incorporate comprehensive animal welfare content in the syllabus of veterinary schools in Palestine.
Farmed Animals
- Increase awareness of the suffering resulting from the food system.
- Increase awareness of their sentience.
- Reduce consumption of animal products.
- Increase regulations on the animal products industry.
